Sublimation

“Sublimation” spotlights Beverly Tu’s mixed media works that explore desire from 2013 to 2023, from the earliest exploration of kiss imprints to the later developments of applying multiple layers. She applies different colours of lipstick on her lip and kiss the papers to create kiss imprints. Through numerous kiss imprints , she forges her visual lexicon to encapsulate the fluidity of emotions in her works. Projecting her flow state of mind, she employs abstract lines to navigate the diverse and complex relationships with desire and self identity.
